Everything at once.

I've decide I kind of hate people who use songs as ringtones on their cellphones.

It is stupid enough to use a clip of a song when someone calls you, but it is plain retarded and annoying to have one play when you receive something as meaningless as a text message.

These things should be reserved for 12 year old girls. Well, not really. Nobody should do it, but at least I would understand.

And why do they always have them so fucking loud? are people deaf?

Maybe it's just me, though. I don't feel the need to "express myself" with something so retarded.

Silent+vibrate for life.

Hell, recently I've been realizing more and more that I don't even really have a use for a cell phone. In fact, the only reason I even have one is because I am on a plan that my mother still pays for.

Which, yes, is funny in a "haha, your mom pays your bills" way, but the point is if she ever told me to pay for it, I'd probably just as soon not have one at all.

and on...

I've never been a fan of Green Day, but I caught their new song on the radio the other day, and it is perhaps the worst bit of music I've heard in a very long time. Yikes.

In other music news, the new Faunts album (ok, it's a few months old, but I just got it) is equal parts awesome and disappointing to me.

Upon the first listen, something about it feels very off, while a few of the songs are absolutely awesome. Very strange. Perhaps it just has to grow on me.

In video game news I have rediscovered my love for the Wiiware.

Ever since the update came out that allows you to save/launch channels (games) directly from an SD card, I've had more than enough space to purchase new games and have been experiencing the awesomness of World of Goo and Bit.Trip Beat

both very simple games that are just incredible in how it feels to play them. Bit. Trip is probably best described as a retro feeling cross between pong and some music puzzle game.

you get insane tunnel vision while playing, and it gets hard as fuck.

And world of Goo is just...well, fucking incredible.

Trevor we should finally install that blogging shit on Nintopia and just redo it so we can write about games there again.

from one toy to another.

I've spent the majority of the day outside just pissing around. My brother and I got the T-Maxx up and running again and were tinkering/fixing it up for hours.

In the process we captured some cool videos like this one here:

but also ended up getting too ambitious (stupid) which resulted in this:

this happened while the camera was mounted to the truck, but slammed into the pavement after a miss judged HIGH speed jump. It was simuletaneously the most awesome thing ever and also the funniest. bits of plastic went all over mixed with bits of battery pack and SD card. It was pretty sweet.

The worst part is the footage of the fatal jump wasn't recorded because it went dead a little too quick.

I love that little camera and am sad to see it go, but i've wanted a new one for a while (hence me not being afraid to treat it like shit) so now I actually have an excuse to look into it. Probably another little Canon if they still have the digital Elph line. Do they? Geoff? do they?

Anyway, good day today.

Finally.

Well.

Today I ventured into the second garage with the intention of cleaning up my bike and putting the battery back in just to see if it would start.

I had seen a few bikes out on the highway earlier and couldn't help myself.

of course, when it started up without much fuss, I found it even harder to resist and long story short, my brother and I went for a quick 10KM rip down the highway and back.

It felt good. still chilly (it was 6:30 though) but awesome to be on it again. It was also the first time I've done any sort of riding with my brother so it was nice.

I'll probably wait a few weeks yet before doing any real solid riding (to work and such) because there is so much shit on the roads in the form of sand and gravel and so on, so it is a bit dicey yet. In fact i locked up my back tire without much effort thanks to all the sand.

It shall be a fun summer though.

yup.

Well I'm just sitting here enjoying a tasty beverage and decided I'd write about some random shit that nobody will care about.

I picked up the first season of "Breaking Bad" a few weeks ago and have to say that it's probably my favourite show on television right now. Not that I watch shows as they air, but what mean to say is it is the best show still in production.

It stars Bryan Cranston (the dad from Malcolm in the middle) as a high school chemistry teacher who gets diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and begins cooking Meth with one of his former students in order to see that his wife and kid are looked after once he dies.

Of course it isn't that easy and everything goes to shit as he struggles with his diagnoses and hiding his activities from everyone. Oh, and the drug dealing.

There were a few things in the first episode that sort of bothered me, but I let it slide. the dude can act and the show is a great blend of serious emotion and dark comedy.

Also the scenes where he transforms from "pushover, boring Walter" to "badass who doesn't give a fuck because he has nothing to lose" are great.

Go watch it.

In other news I think I am officially over World of Warcraft. Actually, I have been for some time. as soon as I got my bitchin' helmet from doing Wintergrasp battles, I realized the game just does nothing for me.

I log on sometimes and litterally quit after 30 seconds because...well, I'm just tired of it.

I don't know that I'll just up and quit right now, cause I like playing when friends are on, but aside from that, I dunno...it was a good run.

I think back to the days when Ryan and I first played it. Ganking people in Stranglethorn or going to Horde territory and creating so much trouble that tons of level 60's (that used to be the limit, kids!) would camp us and we'd have to quit.

I like the PVP aspect and I like playing with friends, but the trouble is, we hardly ever DO play together.

I'll probably still play off and on, but might eventually just stop unless they add some sort of real new content. I don't care about level caps. I'm done levelling. I want a new experience. New gameplay.

Eli Cash...the LEGEND

I was trying to think of a new game to play instead of it. Something vastly different, but drew nothing but blanks.

Then Ryan and I downloaded trials for EVE Online and I played a couple hours of it today. Pretty cool game and certainly far, far different, but it's almost too vast and a little clunky.

That all sort of fades as you get more accustomed to it, I imagine. Not sure if I'll play it as long or consistently as I did WoW, but it is cool.

Who doesn't want to build up a spaceship and explore the galaxy?

Hmm...what else?

oh, I bought a cool Spanish film called Timecrimes last week and it is probably the second best time travel movie I've seen.

Despite its silly (okay, terrible) name, it is actually a great film with a lot of "what the fuck!?"moments throughout. It also doesn't rely on special effects or have a huge budget, but everything about it just "clicked" for me.

That's about all I have to say at the moment.
