yup. well.

man, it's been cold lately.

Even worse is the wind that comes with it. Mix the two together and it makes walking anywhere outside for more than a few seconds a real pain in the ass.

It's only going to get worse these next few days, too. Plus some more snow.

I don't really mind. It's just a bit much since it was pretty decent out not long ago.

In other news Mogwai wrote and performed the entire score for the film "Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait" (yes, the soccer player) and I finally got a copy of the soundtrack a couple days ago. Just wanted to say that it's awesome, slightly more mellow than Mr. Beast, but just as good if not better. Easily the best soundtrack ever.

Keeping with the music theme, I recommend checking out a band called "This will destroy you" if you like Explosions in the sky. Very similar. Very awesome.

I'm going to go play some Zelda now. I can't remember the last time a game has gripped me like this one has. It's been a long while. I'm taking my sweet time with it though, enjoying every moment.

Wii did it.

Well ladies and gents.

Trevor and I secured a Wii each yesterday and I am here to tell you it is glorious fun.

I went to Best Buy and got there 5 minutes after it opened. There were at least 150 people lined up. No joke. They only had 115 systems.

Superstore also had lineups and handed out tickets before hand, so I got screwed there as well.

Trevor's sister came through though and we both got a Wii from Rogers video after waiting outside for an hour (just in case) it was an alright day all things considered. So thanks again to her, if she reads this.

We were all told it wasn't going to be as hard to find a Wii as it is a PS3, but if yesterday is any indication, Nintendo is on to something here, because it's selling like a cake that is hot.

Also who the fuck sleeps over night in a line for a video game? I couldn't do that. Mostly because I have a job, but also because I just wouldn't do it. If it was like, a chance to bang Jessica Alba I might line up, but come on. People are insane.

Here are some real quick impressions:

Red Steel: a bit of a learning curve here, but once you get used to it the remote gives you a shit ton more accuracy than a regular controller and it's easy as pie to score headshots.

Excite Truck: Good, fast, simple fun. kind of weird having to tilt the controller to turn but again once you adapt, it makes the game even more fun. It's a very fast game.

Wii sports: I only played one match of tennis so far and it was fun but I got my ass kicked.

Zelda: Twilight Princess: Best game ever made.

Guess I'll post real impressions on Nintopia later.

Time to go touch my Wii.

And you know why.

Ever feel like loading your car up with all the blunt/bladed weapons you can find and then driving somewhere filled with people and just swinging away as hard as possible at every single one of them who passes by?

I'd love to bury an axe into the head of the entire population right now. One after the other. And never stop.

Yeah.

lower your eyelids to die with the sun.

Boy oh boy am I in the mood for a vacation to nowhere just so I can get away from everything around here.

I just want to be very, very alone for a few days.

I think I'll make myself scarce online for a while, too. That's one more step to being alone.

Perhaps I'll use my time to read/write some things I've been meaning to.

Perhaps not.

Goodnight moon.
