Seriously, holy fuck I love M83. Perfect blend of rich dreamy pop electronic awesomeness and ambient awesomeness. Nobody really does it better.
I was a bit let down in the last effort (probably because the other dude left the group and it was never the same) but this track from the upcoming album blows me away and all if forgiven.
Seriously, a Sax solo at the end? fuck you, that shit is INCREDIBLE.
I have nothing else to say. Life is kind of 'meh' at the moment.
We had our yearly camping trip. It was fun. Found some decent weather which was nice since it has been so shit around here lately. Some rain, too, but whatever!
The older I get the more I realize that two nights is pretty much the perfect amount of time to be camping. I could probably do three, but after that...fuck it.
Sitting around the fire eating bad food and talking rubbish with good buds is always fun, it is as simple as that.
Pretty sure I am not going camping again without some sort of air mattress though. And a real sleeping bag.
I never, ever sleep while camping. Well, that's not entirely true. I think every night I eventually pass out for an hour and then wake up suddenly in pain and freezing cold.
It has a lot to do with sleeping on the ground, in a tent and being uncomfortable, but it seems like more than that. I don't know.
Lucky for me, I never actually EXPECT to sleep, so it's all good. This is precisely why I try and get everyone to stay up as late as possible, but YOU ARE ALL WIMPS.
Also, how Tracy/Trevor/ANYONE can sleep in a tent past, like, 5 AM is beyond me. The noise, the light, the PAIN. You guys are insane.
I guess I'm a light sleeper.
Regarless, good times were had and the campground was pretty cool. I liked it being sort of out of the way, but maybe it was a little TOO out of the way.
I say this every year, but NEXT YEAR I want to do more fishing. Why, oh why can we never find a primo stream/river to just sit down at and fish?
Maybe that's why I enjoyed Wolf Lake so much, being right at the lake's edge was pretty ace.
I took some photos this time, but not all that many and I am too lazy to sort them right now, so instead, I present what is possibly the highlight of the trip. Almost too perfect.
Trevor burns more shit that isn't his:
Why it makes me laugh so hard I may never understand. I love you, Trevor.
Also, sad that Ryan couldn't make it, but that's life. I've talked to him and he said he wants to do a fishing day/weekend still this summer, which might be worth trying to sort out.
