I feel wired.

Yesterday I watched a film called Murder Party.

I ordered it quite randomly not knowing the full deal...just a short synopsis. I'm posting this because what I ended up watching was a brilliant film that was far, far, far better than i was expecting.

the back of the case describes it was "Napoleon Dynamite meets the Texas Chainsaw Massacre!" which isn't exactly accurate, but it does mix humor and gore pretty perfectly. A lot of movies fail at that.

Basically it's about a lonely guy who, on his way home from the video store on Halooween night finds a mysterious invitation to a "murder party" which he thinks is a clever name for a haloween bash.

So he goes home and mulls it over a bit before making a suit of armor out of cardboard (the brown knight) he also bakes pumpkin bread to bring along.

When he gets to this warehouse he finds a bunch of pretentious arty fucks who want to kill him for the sake of "art" to get a grant from this other pretentious fuck who shows up later.

Needless to say hilarity and blood soon follow.

It proves not all low budget films have to blow. I was pretty blown away by the quality of the entire thing. If you're a fan of the genre (I guess horror/comedy...?) you probably will too.

None of you will watch it, but you should.

also, the DVD extras are just as hilarious as the film including said pumpkin bread recipe and a "how to make your own brown knight costume" video segment.
