games games games!

I haven't turned my Wii on in a few months. It's been all PC/360 for me as of late.

So I was pretty excited yesterday to pick up House of the Dead: Overkill as well as Deadly Creatures so that I could turn the thing back on and have some fun.

And fun I've been having.

House of the Dead is easily the best in the series and so completely violent, offensive and ridiculous that it just has to be played.

I think every second word said by the characters is "fuck" also the Grindhouse style is awesome and a perfect change from the norm.

And Deadly Creatures is seriously set to be one of the biggest sleeper hits in a long while, because from what I've played it's pretty much a mix of Zelda/Metroid only you play as a mother fucking spider and scorpion.

So if you have a Wii and it needs some loving, buy one of these games. Or both.

It sure as fuck beats those terrible mini game collections or other shovelware garbage that make me sad to own a Wii.

As an afterthought,
FEAR 2 is out. I went and picked it up and am about two-thirds of the way through it. Still scary as fuck, though having Steam pop up every now and again really detracts from the atmosphere.

Speaking of atmosphere, hooking FEAR 2 up to your new TV would be advised. It looks really fucking good on widescreen.

I amdownloading FEAR 2 from steam. It is almost done. Left it on while I went to work.

I would hook my computer up to the TV for some big screen action, but I am far too lazy, and it would be strange somehow.

This monitor is widescreen, but on the demo all the aspect ratios were fucked up. did they fix that?

Well, all I know is that I'm playing the game in a little post-card sized box in the middle of my 4:3 monitor, because the game was programmed solely for widescreen.

I got shafted, but still a very solid game.

It's odd because even with a widescreen resolution selected and on my widescreen monitor, you still get black borders at the top/bottom of the screen.

That's what I've seen people complaining about, but it doesn't bother me much. The game looks great.

So far I am enjoying it and will probably post something about it when I finish.
